Tamra has worked for multiple television networks during her time as a TV reporter. First starting in local news at NBN, she then filed news reports for Channel 9 Gold Coast before coming on board with Channel 7 Queensland. From there, she was picked up by Sunrise and Tamra has worked in breakfast television ever since. Her day usually begins at 3am, 2am during the summer months of Daylight Saving. Lucky, she loves what she does!
Tamra’s passion for broadcast began with a foray into radio. Initially starting at Gold Coast station Sea FM, she then spent three years as the weekend news reporter for the Gold Coast’s number one radio station, 102.9 Hot Tomato. It was in this role that she learnt her natural ability to not only research and present the news, but also banter with the hosts, seeing her regularly feature on the breakfast and drive shows both weekends and weekdays.
Tamra’s absolute passion for broadcast has provided her with all the skills necessary to become an accomplished and highly sought-after MC. Meeting tight deadlines and learning to adapt and ad lib at a moment’s notice has enabled her to take to the stage as an MC with confidence and ease.
